Royal Blood Best Art Vinyl Award 2014

Royal Blood Wins Best Art Vinyl Award 2014

The British Band and Newcomer Royal Blood Win Best Art Vinyl Award 2014.

Best Art Vinyl Award is coming in and the selection is stunning. The winner for 2014 Best Art Vinyl Award is Brighton Band Royal Blood. The sleeve artwork of Royal Blood‘s self-titled debut album is an original piece of art by Dan Hillier. ‘Falls’ has been inspired by the Victorian time period and is a key work of Hillier, defined by its surrealistic style. It’s another piece of the incredible success story Royal Blood just has experienced.

The award has been established 10 years ago by Andrew Heeps. More than 12.000 people have voted for this year’s winner. Certainly showing the broad interest fans have for the vinyl record. After all, voting for your most loved vinyl of the year just gives fans a chance to be part of a band’s story.

FKA Twigs comes in second place.

In second place came FKA Twigs debut album ‘LP1’ with the work of London artist Jesse Kanda. Also in the top places of this year’s award charts are Future Island with their album ‘Singles’ and Foo Fighters with their newest album ‘8’.

The vinyl comeback continues and receives support by such events like the Best Art Vinyl Award. It gives fans the opportunity to connect with their beloved bands and vinyl in a completely new way. Also, it brings light to the designers and craftsmen behind the scene. Being normally confined to only music nerd spaces, vinyl artwork designers are celebrated for their art.

The Art Works are going to be displayed all over Europe.

The 50 Best Art Works are going to be displayed in exhibitions throughout the UK, Italy and Hungary. Above all, this gives the fan base an opportunity to connect with the Best Art Vinyl Awards even if they don’t live in the UK.
